McDelivery and pickup comparison

McDonald’s Delivery Prices, Fees & Ordering Guide

Compare the food subtotal, extra charges, available offers, and Rewards eligibility before choosing how to order McDonald’s delivery.

Edition: · United States

McDelivery is available from participating restaurants through the McDonald’s app, with other ordering options available through delivery services. Your address determines which restaurants and menus you can use. Delivery item prices may be higher than restaurant prices, and the final amount can include extra charges.

A platform subscription or promotion can affect the amount you pay, but it does not prove the same service is always cheapest. Compare the actual cart for your address. An advertised delivery-fee saving can be offset by a different food subtotal or another fee.

McDonald’s delivery-menu price examples

The following ranges are from the website’s dated eight-restaurant Uber Eats menu sample, checked October 8, 2026, with selected listings rechecked October 16. They are food-listing examples before fees, tax, and tip. They do not establish today’s pickup price or a standard delivery markup.

McChicken Meal Deal$5 advertised offerParticipation and prices vary; this McValue offer excludes McDelivery.

The offer row is included to explain why a restaurant deal should not be substituted for a delivery quote. It is a different price basis from the two sampled delivery meals. See how the price tables are interpreted for the sample’s limits.

What goes into the final delivery total?

Food and customizations

Check item quantities, portion sizes, meal upgrades, add-ons, and any customization charge. The same product name can appear as a sandwich, a meal, or part of a bundle.

Checkout charges

Review the delivery fee, service fee, any small-order charge, tax, and the tip you select. Use the amounts shown for the current cart rather than a fixed fee quoted in an old guide.

McDonald’s delivery FAQ states that there is no general minimum order amount, although small-order fees may apply. A promotion can have its own minimum spend. Treat those as separate questions: whether an order can be placed, whether an extra fee applies, and whether it qualifies for an offer.

Compare pickup and delivery without changing the order

  1. Choose the same restaurant where both options are available.
  2. Match every item, size, quantity, side, drink, and customization.
  3. Record each food subtotal before applying discounts.
  4. Apply only the offer or reward accepted for that channel.
  5. Include the remaining fees, tax, and your selected tip.
  6. Compare the final amounts before submitting either order.

If a platform routes you to another restaurant or shows a different meal size, note the difference. A lower total for less food is not a like-for-like saving. There is no reliable fixed percentage that describes every delivery-versus-pickup comparison.

McValue offers, delivery deals, and reward points

The national McValue menu currently excludes McDelivery. A separate delivery promotion may still appear in the ordering channel you use. Read its minimum purchase, eligible items, account restrictions, and expiry before counting the discount.

McDonald’s app Rewards and a third-party platform’s loyalty benefits are separate programs. If earning or redeeming McDonald’s points matters to you, check the app delivery option and the current Rewards guide. Do not include a hypothetical future reward as an immediate reduction in today’s bill.

Delivery hours, unavailable items, and order problems

Check the delivery menu for your address at the time you want to order. A restaurant’s opening hours do not guarantee identical delivery hours or breakfast availability. Our breakfast-hours guide explains why menu changeover needs a local check.

For a missing item, incorrect order, or delivery problem, open the order in the app or service where you paid and use its support option. Keep the receipt and order number. This independent website cannot cancel orders, issue restaurant refunds, or access a delivery account.

McDelivery questions

Why is McDonald’s more expensive on a delivery app?

The food listing and checkout charges can differ from pickup. Compare the same restaurant and exact cart before attributing the difference to one fee or a single markup percentage.

Does free delivery mean there are no extra charges?

Check the promotion and order summary. A delivery-fee discount does not establish that the food price, tax, service charge, or selected tip is zero.

Can I get a pickup meal deal delivered at the same price?

Only if the selected delivery channel offers that exact deal under its terms. The national McValue offers listed here exclude McDelivery.

Through his website, MacdoMenuPrices.com, he shares clear menu comparisons and ordering guides to help readers plan their next meal. During a McDonald’s restaurant visit, he tried the Quarter Pounder with Cheese and enjoyed it. That first-hand experience gives his burger coverage a personal starting point, alongside the menu research behind each guide.

His approach is to make the details of an order easier to understand: what comes with a meal, how an item compares with a similar choice, and how sides, drinks or sauces change the total. Across breakfast, burgers, Happy Meals, McNuggets and beverages, he keeps restaurant-specific price examples separate from advertised offers and checks that nutrition figures refer to the stated serving.

The aim is straightforward: useful information before you order, with personal preferences clearly distinguished from measurable menu details. If a local price or item has changed, share the restaurant and ordering method through the contact page so the guide can be reviewed.
